For more aggressive trail riders that are looking for a firmer and more responsive setup, the Intense Primer S delivers when it comes to all-around trail and enduro riding performance. Featuring all of the benefits of the Intense Primer, the S model boasts an innovative 279 wheel set-up, with a 29" wheel in the front for easy rolling over tough terrain paired with a 27.5" rear wheel for maximum maneuverability and traction when firing down the trails. The Primer S is light for enjoyable climbing but fast and aggressive for challenging descents.
Tested and developed with some of the fastest athletes, the 2020 INTENSE Primer models feature a brand new full-carbon frame, utilizing the latest technology and specifically tailored for each wheel-size with a hands-on, passionate approach. Complementing the frame is a new JS Trail Link system, which offers incredible performance on mixed terrain thanks to its ideal curve through the travel with a positive pedal platform, which ensures the INTENSE Primer is well-suited to both long climbs and chunky descents.

Wider than standard yet narrower than fat, plus-size rims and tires hit the sweet spot in grip, stability, and speed, giving you more confidence on technical terrain. Compared to a standard tire you’ll feel grip in places you wouldn’t expect thanks to a bigger contact patch and greater rollover clearance. More air volume allows lower tire pressures which softens bumps and increases float on sand or snow. Whether you’re a novice or an expert, the benefits of plus-size tires and rims will amplify your mountain biking fun.
A dropper seatpost allows you to quickly lower and raise your seat to give you an ideal riding position. Dropping your seat creates a lower center of gravity for better control and maneuverability on steep descents, while raising it puts you at normal riding height for efficient pedaling.
Construction can include either hydraulic- or cable-actuated systems and the post’s travel can either be infinitely adjustable or stopped at set intervals, depending on the model.
Dropper seatposts come in standard lengths and diameters and vary by the amount of travel.
